Once again a
Greeley novel, (what is this? Three now?)
As stated before, I continue reading this author because my maternal
grandparents came from the Connemara area as does the book’s character Nuala
Anne McGrail. This latest adventure begins with Nuala’s psychic visions of a
burning castle and the captain of the infamous Black and Tan police force, and
the question of how Kevin O’Higgins (Collin’s successor) was murdered in 1927. The recently married Nuala and her husband
Dermot arrive in Dublin and are besieged by an avidly anti-American media and
some keystone cop type kidnappers.
