Rich is written like a succession of People magazine articles concerning the lifestyles of the American rich from our earliest history to the present. Although the book does what its’ title suggests, I found no personally useful information. In fact I found it tedious reading. Yet, I did struggle to the end, for whatever that is worth.

I have simultaneously been reading four books; hence the hiatus between posts. This is one of those four. The others concern the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, "The Evolution of God", and, lastly, Mary McCarthys' "Memoirs of a Catholic Girlhood."
