This book was published in conjunction with the PEN American Center. Burn this Book is a collection of twelve essays by established authors (e.g. Rushdie, Updike, etc.) that "explore the meaning of censorship and the power of literature to inform the way we see the world, and ourselves." This is not really my kind of book. I was in the library to pick up something to tide me over while waiting for my ordered books to come through on the inter-library loan mechanism when this title caught my eye. The book is much more about why people write than it is about censorship. Anyway, it is a good filler while waiting for something else. For more information about PEN, visit www.pen.org
