Pompeii Redux

This was my second trip to Pompeii--and, my first visit to the Napoli museum which contains many artifacts from Pompeii. This video is comprised from pictures in both sites. I am not getting much reading accomplished because of playing with my Italy pictures. Later, I may do another video featuring Sorrento, the Amalfi coast, Capri, and Positano which we also visited.

Pompeii was destroyed in 79AD when Vesuvius catastrophically exploded--much like our Mt. St. Helena event--covering Pompeii with 40 feet of ash, thus preserving the 144 acre site for later generations to examine (that be us). Excavation of the site continues to this day.
